Seihō was one of the most influential Japanese artists of his time. He was initially a student of Bairei Kōno but soon surpassed his teacher in fame. Both artists favoured the nihonga style of painting. This gallery includes ten of Seihō’s flower and (or) bird paintings. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
